Have you noticed any of these?
•Lack of awareness of sounds in words, rhymes, or sequence
of sounds and syllables.
•Difficulty learning to read single words
•Difficulty spelling words
•Poor sequencing of numbers, of letters in words, when reading
or writing, i.e. 12 - 21, lemons/melons
•Delayed spoken language
•Problems with reading comprehension, confusion about directions
in space or time (i.e. reversing right/left, up/down, early/late,
yester day/tomorrow, months/days)
•Difficulty with handwriting
•Are there other family members who have learning or behavioral
problems (parents, siblings, uncles/aunts, grandparents)?
•Has a physical exam ruled out other possible causes?
•Has an educational evaluation been completed?
•Does your child receive special education services?
